We recommend booking at least 3-6 months in advance for peak season (June-October) and 1-3 months for other times. For Kilimanjaro treks, book 6-12 months ahead due to permit requirements.
The best time depends on your interests: June-October for wildlife viewing and dry weather, January-March for Kilimanjaro climbing, and year-round for Zanzibar beaches.
Most visitors need a visa. You can apply online for an e-visa or get one on arrival at major airports. Check with your local Tanzanian embassy for specific requirements.
Yellow fever vaccination is required for entry. We also recommend hepatitis A, typhoid, and malaria prophylaxis. Consult your doctor 4-6 weeks before travel.
Tanzania is generally safe for tourists. We provide 24/7 support and work with trusted partners. Follow standard travel precautions and our safety guidelines.
